FAQ

"Is this different from the Advanced Excerpts plugin you used to use?"

Yes - it is very much more advanced.  We use to use Advanced Excerpts because there was no alternative, until we had our own plugin coded for us, the Protector plugin.

Here are some of the differences, and the problems with the Advanced Excerpts plugin that we had to get fixed by having our own plugin built for us!

1. The Protector Plugin will pick up the anchor text anywhere in the article. With the Advanced Excerpt Plugin however, you have to make sure your anchor text is in the first few words or your anchor text won't be there
2. You can have more than 1 anchor text show in the excerpt with The Protector Plugin, you can't do that with the Advanced Excerpt Plugin and still have your post read naturally
3. You can omit anchor text and URLs from the excerpt so that you don't waste link juice linking from the home page to authority sites for example on posts where you are not linking to money sites
4. You have no control over the image or video that displays with the Advanced Excerpt Plugin. With The Protector Plugin, you can set the size of the media within the excerpt and set where it goes in the excerpt, so that your PBN Mini Sites can all have a different look and feel
5. You can set the anchor text color so that it blends in the same color as the surrounding text. Something the Advanced Excerpt Plugin can't do. This is essential in our opinion, because otherwise, all your excerpts will show a standout anchor text link, which at a glance. will look un natural and will look like a PBN again
6. With The Protector Plugin, you can select to have a button or text as your "Read More" link, and that is completely customizable with color to blend in with the theme so that it makes it more diverse yet again.  With Advanced Excerpts, you cannot.
